THE TREE & THE SEA©

THE TREE & THE SEA©

On a hill, there is a tree

Extending its boughs towards the sea

Yearning for what she cannot reach.
I heard it moaning with
The wind shaking with grieve.
Turning upward away from the soil,
Away from the roots that has been
Her shelter for years.
And the sea?  The sea never heard
Her moaning, never heard of her grieve.

The agony sculpted her tortured

Figure as she stands
Oblivious to her friends,
The caring sun and the loving rain-
Gently sustaining her with care,
Attentively showering her with love.

The years went by

And my heart was turned away

From feeling the sun rays

And hearing the birds in the sky.

More years gone by and my heart

Was still numb.

It was yet bumping, beating, and

Making me alive but not living.

The only thing I can feel is the pain.

The only memory I have of him

Is of a phantom in my dream

Visiting me one last time

before he was gone.

What was reality is now no more.

Illusion, a trap, don’t be fooled

By the delusion of this life.

Soon I will be gone too.

She Said: Go Towards The Light!©

She Said: Go Towards The Light!©

The road was winding

Curves and Bushes

Playing hide and seek

With the seashore.

I heard the ocean’s call

Alluring me to sit and talk,

As I used to talk with him

Every time we meet.

The Ocean  and I have always

been close friends.  Something

About the sea makes you want

To pour your soul out knowing

It will go deep and safe, and he

Listens clear.

I parked the car away at the nearby

Street.  Climbing the hill to the

Shore.  The hill was steep,

I looked around, and looked down

To the slippery sand beneath my feet.

The path laid in front of me

Was a maze of Bushes and sand dunes.

I reached a fork in the road.  Paths and

Trails right and left.  I was lost.

I still can hear the calls of the sea,

But where is he?

Something about the sea, makes you trust him.

As old friends, he greets me

With wide open heart and

Generous giving spirit, he

Greets me with waves of

Cheers and laughter of

The gulls…even when he

Is angry or grim.  “Welcome back,

You are home, you are here.” He always said.

I was near, but not there yet.

At the twilight time when

Not many were on the trails.

I got up and stood there and

Contemplated at life choices.

How many trails we got to choose,

And how many got us lost.

Only then I heard others approaching,

Laughing and calling on each other.  Giggling

Trying to find each others through the maze.

Trying to reach the sea…like me.  I heard a girl

Calling.  “I found the sea!”  “I found the sea!”

She said:   “Go towards the light.”!

A Bridge Made of Glass!©

A Bridge Made of Glass!©

bridge of glass

Go ahead

Push through

We are all riding

On a bridge made of glass

Suspended between

Mountains of circumstance

We spend our lives

Forging through.

Choices that we make

Set us free, or maybe

It could be that we

Are stuck in a trance;

Yet we have to be

Where we are.

Don’t look down

To the ground,

Don’t bother collecting

Things that would weigh you down…

Or you’ll fall while

Thinking that you

Have made it,

A break through?! Doomed!

A journey that we have to take;

Look around, lend a hand,

Share and care, help around

Other fellow travelers,

Remember the purpose

Of the trip, don’t slip!

Be aware of who you are.

The goal is reaching

Over to the other side

Humanity unscathed.

Going back to where we

Belong, paying dues

To our Maker, full submission

That is the mission…accomplished.

Looking back satisfied

At that thin Bridge made of Glass

And say…”What a ride?”

Keep It Positive. Keep It Real.©

Keep It Positive. Keep It Real.©

Keep it positive. Keep it real.  At times of uncertainty and troubles, we tend to overcome by anxiety of all the things that might happen-the what ifs.  People tend to tangle themselves of scenarios that are created out of worries and projected fear.

I am not talking about real and immediate danger; but rather I am talking about times of upcoming difficulties-such as separation or divorce, financial troubles, upcoming surgeries, big project or event, new job or retirement, etc.  During these times, no matter how the situation is, it really helps if one live the Now.

Take a deep breath and look around at this particular moment, one will see that he/she still breathing, there is a roof above his head, food that would sustain him/her, and he/she is safe and sound.  Staying calm and focus will enable the person to better deal with the real situation rather than wasting time and energy worrying about things that may or may not happen.  In any case, never ever act, or take decision based on projected fear.

The Messenger Mohammad (peace & blessings be upon him and all the prophets and messengers of God) says: “”When someone is secure in his property, healthy in his body and has his food for the day, it is as if he owned the entire world”.

Again, keep it positive. Keep it real.

Staying-Positive

Sleepy Hollow©

Sleepy Hollow©

Once upon a time, Through all times,

In a special town, live people who

Are going through their days in illusion.

Pass by in a haze. Bewitched,

Bedazzled, and bemused by the

Life they have created. Down by

The river, in a faraway valley,

People live and play aimlessly-

Void of purpose in spite of death, and

In spite of sorrow.  Moment by moment,

Passing the days in a trance.  Evil lurks in

The distance, seers are warning, of plots

brewing in the dark.  The people still ride upon

Their high horse, listening not to reason,

Using not their heads.  Like the headless rider

Wondering aimlessly through the night,Heedless of

What to come.  Eyes they have that cannot see,

Ears they have that cannot hear, and

minds that cannot think.  In self indulgence

they seem to drown-with no remorse or consequence.

No wonder we call that place-Sleepy Hollow. Do you live there?

Fair and Unbiased Perspective©

Fair and Unbiased Perspective©

We should check the reality of who we really are by honestly looking deep within, and seek the Truth about everything else by searching, unbiased, outward-not from inward out, but rather from the outward in.

Remember that Truth is impartial to perception of reality.  Reality various, but Truth is autonomous, absolute.

Think about it.
