Hope is a seed that I planted
Way in the depth of the soil
Of my soul. It pushes through
The cracks of my heart and grow.
It withers away and shrinks by
Winds of gloom and dismay.
But forever blossom back
Green, fresh, and strong.
For, you see, my hope is a seed
Of an old Jasmine tree-Stubborn and free.
Flowers white fragrance petals in spite of
Frozen snow, blooms betwixt rocks.
