As humans,we may get broken (physically, financially, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually).  The physical and the materialistic aspects that are mentioned may be out of the range of our own control-meaning it may or may not get fixed.  But our spirit(the drive that brings the mind and the heart to life) is eternal and we have a control over it, we are responsible for our actions and reactions… as it gets broken, if we try hard, we can actually get stronger and much better than when we were before the break.

It’s what makes us human-it’s in our DNA.

    1. You are probably the only writer with a blog that doesn’t have enough sections for comments.
“Broken and Fixed” gave me a whole new perspective on broken. I’ll have to tell everyone now and where I saw it first. Great material! I’ll tell my daughter about this first. DO NOT REPLY. Keep writing!

    1. Thank you very much. I choose the pictures that goes with my articles very carefully. Some times it takes more time picking and choosing the visuals more than writing 🙂 I am glad you noticed and liked it.

      1. I love the other pictures, but the orange stood out for me. I love photography, and finding pictures, but often, I draw my own. Sometimes this works. My students used to laugh with me about my drawings. Smile.

      2. I saw your drawings, they show vulnerability and openness, and your colors are warm and lively…each one of them speaks-as if it is reaching out to the hearts. Beautiful. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind remarks. You made me smile from the heart 😉

      3. Thank you. I love to make people smile from their heart. Some do. Some won’t. I believe people have a choice. Either be bendable, and flexible, or be ready to be broken, and fixed. I have been broken, and fixed. I was fine until I had a tragedy in my life. It broke me. I realized that if anything was going to happen, it would be a miracle. It came. I believe God has a perfect plan for us. I believe He loves us, and wants us to surrender to Christ. Many times we won’t, and don’t because we need to be broken. I was broken, and it hurt, but then God put it back together. I am forever grateful. I am being vague, but I want you to know that life is short, and with God on the throne of your heart in the Presence of the Holy Spirit is a wonderful way to walk through life. I believe at times He has carried me. God sees us in the light, and through the darkness. His love never stops. It is our response to Him that causes us to have the joy of the Lord, or to still be unbelieving. I know it was by God’s grace that I found Him. For real. Ephesians 2:8-9 are special to me.

      4. I believe in God, The One and Only, The Eternal Refuge, Absolute. He neither beget not nor is He born. And there is none like unto Him. He say to something be and it is. The Creator of Adam with no parents, The Creator of Eve with no parents. The Creator of all the universe. The Compassionate, The Merciful. I believe that salvation is through believing in God and through repentance. I believe that there is no convulsion or forcing anyone to believe. It is a journey one makes towards the truth. May God guide us to the truth and gives us the courage to follow it. Amen.

  1. We are all broken that is how the light gets in is a distortion of Rumis Quote: “It is through the wound that the light enters” I wonder if Hemingway gave the reference or just plagiarized it?

    1. In English we say that the heart can break. When someone’s spirit or heart is broken it means that this person got hurt sad feelings. Maybe she/he lost someone, or he/she may tried very hard at something and did not achieve anything after his/her hard work; so his/her spirit become broken.
This person is “fixed” when he/she starts feeling better and is filled with hope and positive feelings.
